Community Groups

These are groups set up for the community by Cathcart UF and associations & groups outwith Cathcart UF.

The 77th Scout Troop

Monday evenings: 6.30pm - 9pm

Meeting on Monday evenings at Cathcart UF, the Scouts take part in a balanced programme that helps them to find out about the world in which they live, encourages them to know their own abilities and helps develop their creative talents. It also provides opportunities to explore their own values and personal attitudes – as well as having lots of fun.

Good Companions Stroke Club

Tuesdays: 10.30am - 2.30pm

Meeting on Tuesday mornings at Cathcart UF, this self-managed group is affiliated to Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, though not provided directly by the charity. It is an individual club run to support members to participate in, and enjoy activities in, their local community. A light lunch is served.

Baby Sensory Classes

Wednesdays: 10am - 11am & 11.30am - 12.30pm

At Baby Sensory’s award-winning baby development classes, you and your baby will experience different sensory activities designed to support your baby’s sensory development every week and you are welcome to join at any time. Classes at Cathcart UF currently run on Wednesday mornings.

The Coffee Pot

1st Wednesday of the month (April - September only):

2pm - 4 pm

The Coffee Pot is run by the Women's Association of Cathcart UF and is held at Cathcart UF once a month on Wednesday afternoons between April and September. It provides an opportunity for members of the community to drop in for a chat while being served tea or coffee and a choice from a selection of home baking, baked by the ladies of the association who have quite a gift for it.

 

AA Victoria: Friday

 

Friday evenings: 8pm - 10pm

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. Meetings are held at Cathcart UF on Friday evenings.

Community Gardening

The next date for the diary is:

10am - 12noon

A day for putting on the gardening gloves and wellies in the gardens of Cathcart UF, in order to prune and tidy up the landscape of the church grounds. If you are local and don't have a garden of your own, maybe you would like to join us. There will also be time for a cuppa and a chat.
